I really haven't watched much BAMA b-ball since Mark left. It's too frustrating.

Since Mark left? I'm not taking up for Grant at all. I was ecstatic when he came here but I'm no longer on that bandwagon...BUT, Mark Gottfried had much more talented teams and would get blown out all the time. Grants teams haven't suffered many blowouts but they have lost close games they could have had. You could argue about what's worse but at least Grants teams give the effort.

Grant isn't going to get it done IMO but we will just have to live with it because the powers that be will not make a change.

True statements.

To me there are good comparisons to be found in Bama football.

Gottfried is Mike DuBose - Mark made the Elite 8 and DuBose won the SEC but both also got blown out a lot and the teams just quit at times (if the rumors are true, they also had off the job similarities).

Grant is Mike Shula. He's a likeable guy and his teams are competitive, but they are simply incapable of winning the close games.

I think this will happen. And he has a good foundation now set for the next few years.

Not sure if he will ever get beyond 32 or 16 though.

I'd love to believe we will make the NCAA tournament. Where are the quality wins going to come from, is the only problem? Right now we don't have a single one. Even beating UCLA only nets us a win over a team that's around 110 in RPI right now. Is the league going to get enough respect from the committee for us going 12-6 to make up for our lack of quality OOC wins?

So we lose to two top 15 programs on the road and we're already out of the tournament? Gotta love Alabama basketball fans.

we blew a double digit lead in the last 6 minutes and scored 1 pt during that time ...

we've seen this story before, time and time again ...

how long do we wait? ...

Normally I'd agree with you. But you fail to realize the way we lost against WSU (Last 6 minutes: 4 Turnovers, 4 missed shots, and 1/2 free-throws), the blowout loss to Xavier, and more importantly that were 1-21 against teams ranked in the top 50 over the last 3 years. Get AG's arse outta here

Laugh if you want to, but I think AG is one of the best coaches in the SEC.

No, having a coach who has no clue how to manage a game, when to call timeouts, how to substitute, or how to draw up an inbounds play already has us out of the tournament.
