Does anyone remember the scene in It's a Wonderful Life when George Bailey was crying on the bridge declaring "I want to live again, I want to live again. "?
That's how I feel about Bama basketball. I want to win again. I want to win again.
I just need a guardian angel to grant me that wish.

I wish I could make that much money to literally do no part of my actual job.

You know, I hated Gottfreid when he left. I celebrated when Shula was fired. I've wanted Grant gone for almost two years...but it feels different. Its just sad because I really wanted him to succeed and everyone who knows him goes on about how great of a guy he is. Would've been great if he had worked out. Great representative of the University but he just can't get us over the hump.

He needs to go because he's not doing his job and I know he still has millions in his bank account, but damn if it sucks see it end this way for him.

After losing to this abysmal Florida team, I'm now offically on the Fire Anthony Grant train.

We're in the Shula years of Basketball.

Yeah, I met him too and he was REAAAAAAAALLY nice and had the biggest smile, very friendly...a real people person...really wanted him to succeed but its looks unlikely and its unfortunate

I think this season really hurts me because I truly convinced myself we were a sweet 16 team

Think pretty much the entire fan base has turned on CAG. It's pretty clear that he sucks. That last play call was a disaster and nobody was surprised. Says a lot.

When we retained Grant, anyone with any sense knew that as soon as this team started to falter, the season would come crashing down. That's why you fire coaches when it's obvious they aren't working out. This season is basically what the 2007 football season would've been like if we had kept Shula. Battle deserves to catch major hell for making that decision.

The amazing thing is not only do we lose every game in the same fashion, but every season under Grant tends to be the same. Some promise in the early going and then we hit some mid-season slump that we don't recover from. Our teams never progress and never beat anyone that is supposed to be better.

My fear going into this season was that we'd somehow back into the NCAA tourney and have to keep Grant. A few weeks ago, we did look like a team that could make it in. That's all lost now because it's obvious with Grant that we will never do anything spectacular and that's what it'll take to make it in now.

Agreed. I thought Grant should have been gone last year. I was thrilled when we hired him, but these last 3 years have been frustrating. I mean everyone single one of us on this board could run Alabama's offense...just pass around along the 3 point line for 29 seconds then throw up a prayer. Battle needs to man up and do the right thing at the end of the year.

Yep. And he was there for the taking and we just let Auburn have him. I swear to god.

Does Grant still have a job this morning?

I was really hoping to log on this morning and see some news of his firing.

This is going to be a long Feb. the way this team plays. I swear if I see Hale standing around not playing defense one more game I might fricking lose it.

I haven't read all the pages, so I don't know if this has been brought up. Has anyone else noticed that when Grant is miked-up, he is basically a cheerleader. I never hear him actually coaching or giving individual players advise, even during the time outs. "Let's go white!, Let's go white" This is our time!" "Defense will win this game." Maybe I'm being picky because I want a change, but when I hear other coaches miked-up, I hear coaching. Grant shouts encouragement, but no coaching.
