If they had a pretty good team, they wouldn't drop an 11 point lead with under 5 to play. Yes shite happens, but that's not good

To the #11 team in the nation who hasn't lost at home in 23 games now? I feel terrible alright

Yes, our BB team is really good at choking.

That's thinking really small. If Bama had an 11 point lead on the road, that's pretty damn good. Yes they ultimately lost the game, but it was a road game at Wichita State. Most teams in the country aren't expected to win there,

This same thing could be written by fans of every SEC school but Kentucky, Florida, and Auburn haha.

As has been reiterated, this is the same old song and dance with Bama under Grant. They could have been playing East Popcorn State on the road and had the same result.

It's fricking maddening. I hate to be constantly negative about the team, but the writing has been on the wall for 3 years now. Each season is predictably mediocre.

Grant teams play great defense. Would have been a huge win, but a one point loss on the road to that team was a good performance if you just look at the box score. Losing in that way had to be called a choke job.

I did not watch but maybe the last minute of the game, so I cannot really comment on choking, but a close loss there will look good unless they really screw up later.

Sure, Bama was an underdog in this game, but it could have set their season on a different path had they won. That is what sucks for the team and fans. I went to the game against S. Florida couple of weeks ago, looked good. I really thought this season could save Grant. Long way to go, but his team repeats the same pattern year after year.

I agree, hence my 1st post in this thread. Grand will definitely be able to look back on the last 5 minutes of that game and realize that it was the "straw".

That would be true if sometime in the next few weeks, you won't see Bama up 11 at home with 5 to play against a shaitty opponent and blow that one too.

The second half of last night's game was the very definition of Alabama basketball under Grant. Play hard until it matters and then fold.

At the 5:54 mark, Shannon Hale hit a 3 to give Alabama a 51-40 lead. From that point until the :33 second mark, Alabama managed to take three whole shots from the floor.

Let that sink in. They only got off three shots in 5 1/2 minutes of basketball. During that same stretch, they committed 4 turnovers.

They can't finish no matter the level of the opposition. That's been the mark of Bama basketball since Grant arrived and it doesn't look as if this season is going to be any different.

I'm ticked at how we lost that game... there were a few bad no calls in that flurry but it was at Wichita and they aren't gonna give you anything.

Bama fans saying same story are stupid... since when have we played that well as a huge road dog and lost in the final seconds? This is a much better team and they will learn from this. I hate how we lost.. it was disgusting and all we needed was one more basket smh.

Bama will be a top 4 SEC team this year. I don't know if that gets us in the tourney but if we win the games we are supposed to we have a great shot. Winning last night would have certainly had our names on the tongues of many but, we didn't and it's not the end of the world for our chances.

Tired of this groundhog day (the movie) scenario that Alabama creates every time it gets close to a quality road win.

First, either blow a lead or fight back to tie the game.

Second, get the ball with a chance to go ahead and get fouled. Make only one of the free throws.

Let the opponent score a two easily.

Get the ball back with a chance to win and call a time out with just enough time for one last chance shot.

Call a lousy in-bounds play and take a low percentage three-point shot that doesn't even come close to the rim and lose the game. (even though a two would have won the game)

I feel like this happens every time I watch them.
