It depends. Next year will be a minor indicator, but it's hard to tell how much of Muschamp's defense will be visible in the AU defense. Right now, their recruiting class doesn't have a lot of defensive talent but they have had some solid defensive recruiting classes the past couple of years, so the cupboards are not bare. I would say, if Muschamp gets the talent he wants, they could contend as early as 2016. If he ends up being as handicapped as EJ was, then it won't matter.

I don't know where people got the idea that Auburn is some kind of power. They've won 2 national titles in their entire history and you think a former high school coach is going to equal that.

Judging by what I've read on here, at least a gazillion.

How many times has Bama been people's national champs? Huh? HUH?

Reading comprehension isn't very good.
Two gazillion if you really read the thread. Pretty conservative number really.

You sure about that?
Yep. Let's review Urban's tenure at UF.
No Tebow in 2005. Get blown the frick out by Alabama, handled by USC, and lose to LSU. Score 22 or fewer points in 5 of 8 SEC games.
Tebow arrives in 2006. UF loses to LSU and Tennessee in 2006 without Tebow coming in for Leak and converting at critical times. With Leak as the principal starter, still score 21 or less in 5 of 8 SEC games.
He was the main guy from 2007-2009. Scored less than 21 a grand total of 2 times in three regular seasons (also scored only 13 in '09 SECCG).
2010, Urban's still there but no Tebow. UF goes 8-5 and scores 14 or less 4 times.
After that, Urban ran to BiG country.

Figure the difference between zero and 0 then you will find your answer.

Yea. He may not win one, but based on his history as a coach at all levels it isn't hard to imagine him playing for and winning a title.
No worries though, maybe all that $cam Newton, ATPB stuff will come true and they'll take the title from 2010.

i think you are good for 2010.

After last year, they were going to win multiple national titles and Gus was Saban's "daddy". So I suppose they'll only be better with Muschamp.
I'm guessing maybe 20 straight years of titles?

If Auburn fans don't say more than 2 they aren't confident in Muschamp.
If Alabama fans respond to this post, they are scared.
Am I doing this right?
In that case, I think he will stay three years so Four National Championships!

Well, let's see; start with the averages of both as head coaches; divide buy 2; carry the 0; uh, that would be None.

Name me a few recent head coaches who have lost national title games and then won one afterwards....it's a pretty damn low number. That game in Pasadena will psychologically haunt him his entire career.
