@wareagleextra: Lashlee said RB Kamryn Pettway has seen time at H-back in recent practices. Not sure whether it would be a permanent move yet.
BOOM! Love the move!

I always figured he'd end up at h-back. Glad they're having him start practicing there now instead of as a junior.

I wish they had him there all year and he could have been the starter by mid season. The dude could be versatile like Eric smith was at the spot.

Thought the Chandler Cox kid was coming in at H-Back. Does this make him a possible redshirt

Pettaway belongs there, have thought that since he was recruited.

Cox may be the most physically ready player we have in this class, but unless Pettaway gets hurt, I say redshirt him.

Cox is an EE too, isn't he?

Edit: Nevermind, he isn't according to our recruiting thread.

Pettway will be a monster. 6'1 240lbs currently and very physical per Lashlee

Kamryn Pettway (6'1, 240) blocking behind our offensive line with Jovon Robinson (6', 238) coming into the hole after him? Talk about a power running game.

Even if Jovon Robinson loses weight from now until next season, he will still be a load.

Depending on his build I'd hope he can get down to 220-225 by fall. Make him faster and hopefully more explosive through the hole. He'll be a monster whatever his playing weight is.

I would not mind redshirting Cox as I doupt he will go pro early.

He is expected to start at HBack if someone else doesn't step up.

That said, as we saw with Jay Prosch getting experience as a HBack makes a world of difference. Prosch went from sort of average to absolutely dominant after a few games getting the hang of things

Whoever said that was wrong. Cox will be here in a few weeks

No way a FB/HBack goes pro early. If Pettaway steps up and shows he can be the guy at that position there's no reason to rush Cox onto the field. The thing I want to see most is an H-Back with hands like Eric Smith and Lutz. Makes the offense more dynamic to me.

I just looked at the OP and he didn't have the EE thing next to his name.
