He ate up blocks. I wouldnt say he played well. Zero sacks and only 6 tfl by a guy many thought could challenge for dpoy.

Arkansas would be better with most of Bama's starters. I don't see your point?

Try reading words. You might see it then. Philon is a better player and would be starting over Robinson right now if Saban wasn't a giant prick and hasn't pulled his scholly on NSD.

To be fair he wouldn't have. A'Shawn Robinson plays his spot and is a total monster.

I'm hoping Womack gets processed pre-signing day just like Philon did.

Super happy for Philon. I don't think that there is any question as to whether or not Arky was the best play for him.

Ok we all know he's a good player, you want a cookie or something? Stop whining like a little girl

e allowed Arkansas coaches to lie to him and scare him, else he would be playing for his team and for a national title.

He would have gotten a scholarship the very same fall.

Probably the dumbest thing you've ever posted.

I don't think philon can do what Robinson does in the 3-4. Philon could be a good end for Bama but I don't think he could move inside on first and second down the way Robinson does.

This.

A'Shawn is better for a 3-4 and Darius is better for a 4-3. Comparing Arkansas and Bama's lines doesn't make much sense, 4-3 DTs will typically have better stats that 3-4 DT on average simply because of the roles they play. A'Shawn doesn't have to have to get 10 sacks/TFL for the year to be considered effective and Darius doesn't have to eat up 2-3 OLs per play to be effective.

Wouldn't need the greyshirt at Bama bc someone failed to qualify.

Darius would have been a DE in Saban's 3-4.

Which is why I don't get the A'Shawn comparison. Yea he can play DE some downs but more often than not (at least every game I've watched Bama) he'll play NT.

They're two different players. Darius would've gotten PT/potentially started at Bama and A'Shawn would've started at Arkansas. Both will likely play in the league. If the outcome is to measure each fanbases' message board dicks then this makes sense but comparing the two for PT at the same position does not.

Glad for him. It definitely worked out for him much better at Arkansas than it would have at Alabama. Playing time is so scarce at Bama right now.

How did he play at Arky immediately if he didn't qualify?
