Dollar General, Hwy 62 in Yellville.

Ask for "Stump" he sells them out of his pickup, along with certain medicinal herbs and gay marriage certificates.

Idk about permits, but if you get one, head down to SEARK, close to the AR/LA line. There used to be sightings there weekly. He could still be hanging out there.

I love that part of the state. Their Harps grocery stores sell guns & ammo.

I'm not aware of any Harps stores in South Arkansas. Are you referring to North Arkansas?

Think you're pulling legs about a 'permit'...

But if you want info on Bigfoot in Arkansas go to:

www.arkansashunting.net

Go to the Predators and Varmits thread.

Read the 400-500 page thread on Hunters and Bigfoot.

Ask for Tal Branco.

The National Parks Service doesn't allow just anyone to conduct a search for Bigfoot. A man conducting a group mission to track down Sasquatch was halted by park rangers who told him he needed a permit, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports. That's because the leader of the search around the Buffalo National River had charged people money to join in—from $300 to $500. In other words, he was acting as a "concessionaire," rangers said.

Matt Pruitt of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization had to pay a $525 fine. "I think it was a fairly innocent mistake," he said. A chief ranger explains: "We're not in this to make a lot of money, but we are in this to protect our resources. If he's got people running around in the park, who knows what they're doing looking for this elusive creature?"

In that case, the permit is not for 'searching for Bigfoot' per se... Hell, you don't need to search anyway. You go to the right place and Bigfoot will find you.

Re: the first post in the Bigfoot thread...I've heard some very strange sounds at night in remote wooded areas of Arkansas but I always chalked it up as WTF sounds. Never did Bigfoot enter my mind.

I've seen the "Gurdon lights" but that's another area of paranormal.

We went so far down the tracks one night (without seeing the light) that we finally turned to go back to our vehicles, and THEN we saw the light - between us and our vehicles. A little creepy.

I thought it had been. If you ever see it with your own eyes, it's way over-the-top strange.

Yum! That should get their attention.

Some really tasty deer jerky might do the trick as well.
