Oh man that'll be sick! To this day one of my favorite Christmas gifts ever was my folks buying tix to the Alamo Bowl when TAMU played Michigan. They'll have an absolute blast.

I got tickets to the Sugar Bowl for Christnas when I was 12. Wasn't the best game ever but I got to see my first pair of boobs on Bourbon Street on New Years Eve so it was all gravy after that.

I asked on Warrensburg because I'm a native Missourian. Cape Girardeau area. Now living in God's country....Aggieland! Bowl game was a great memory for the boys. With Chavis on board, looks like we're kicking the future into a higher gear.....

Ah nice! Yeah wifey and I are stationed at Whiteman. Nice country up here (although a little chilly at the moment ). Definitely envy you living in Aggieland! Hoping to move back to TX after the military chapter of our lives is over.

So glad you and your boys enjoyed the bowl game! Excited for the future fo sho

here is a question, TBird, and keep in mind Im a civilian.

If you and your wife are both AF, and I think you are, does the Air Force make an effort to keep you on the same bases at the same time? Outside of deployments, of course.

Yes, we are.

Yes, they do, as much as possible, through Join Spouse assigments. Case in point, my first duty station was Altus AFB, OK, and since she ended up getting assigned to Whiteman AFB, MO, for her first base, I put in for orders to join her up here.

There are exceptions, of course, generally depending on the job the respective members do, and the availability of said jobs at selected bases (for instance, Mrs. T's specialty is operational at far fewer bases than mine is), but for the most part, the USAF does try to keep spouses together.

Response:

Actually, my little brother lives in Sikeston right now. No, I didn't make Muster when up there. I'm not an Aggie by birth or degree.....but now bleed maroon and love spending the falls in the friendly confines of Kyle Field. God willing, I'll one day have an "Aggie Dad" bumper sticker.....

This is the same for the Army as well, although it doesn't always happen. I think they started doing it in the 90's when joint households became more prevalent.

Small world. Is your little brother by any chance an Ag? I was born in CSTX, but now only get to make pilgrimages to The promised land, usually for thanksgiving.

No. He spent 4 years in COMO, and is a diehard Missouri Tiger. He's a good brother....although clearly with one significant imperfection
