Big XII No Longer a Power 5

At least when it comes to recruiting.
Two months from 2015 signing day and zero 5 star commits.
Here are the past half-decade five-star signings:
2011: 5 (M. Brown, S. Flowers, S. Edmond, B. Williams, T. Metoyer)
2012: 4 (J. Gray, M. Brown, J. McGee)
2013: 3 (R. Rhodes, K Ford, D. James)
2014: 2 (K. Cannon, J. Mixon)
2015: 0
Their highest rated school? t.u. at 15 followed by WVU, OU, TCU, & BU at 25, 26, 30, and 39. For comparision there are 7 SEC schools rated higher than tu. There will likely be 8 once LSU finishes somewhat strong.

I'm pretty confident that West Virginia is ahead of Baylor and TCU so you might want to include them on the list.

Good catch, but my point still stands. The Big XII's long term viability will continue to go down when they get lapped in talent by not only the SEC, but Big 10, ACC, & Pac too.

A&M so happy they can ride the nuts of the SEC...so happy that they won't bother winning a conference title in football...just happy to say we SEC.

We have more overall conference titles since we joined than LSU does over that same timeframe.

No elite player wants to play in the Big 12 anymore. Who wants to go on road trips to Ames, Manhattan, Lubbock, Stillwater, Lawrence, Morgantown, etc. They are a dumpster fire.
