His name is being thrown around for the DC opening at Mississippi State. I know he was a HS coach for most of his career and won a couple of state titles at Prattville. He was HC at Jacksonville St. one year and UAB one year.

Other than that I know ZERO about the guy. Is he known for having great defenses? He seems to be really well liked and thought of in the state of Alabama.

Happy Holidays and TIA

Awesome coach and really glad Auburn didn't hire him.

Really? Is his reputation as a defensive minded coach that good? His defense at UAB this year gave up a lot of yards.

incredible X & O coach. Don't know enough about him as a recruiter, but I'd be willing to bet he'll more than hold his own.

Is he well thought of by Alabama HS coaches? If so that could be an in for State recruiting wise getting a lot of the guys not quite good enough for Bama or Auburn who are SEC players. Like a Derunnya Wilson or Beniquez Brown

He will have a LOT more talent to work with at MSU than he had at UAB. He is a great coach and will most certainly boost your recruiting with his high school contacts in Alabama.

great coach and teacher. relates well with players. in his short time as a head coach he actually succeeded with his offense, but don't be fooled by the mediocre defensive numbers at uab. did well at south and routinely shite out d1 players at prattville

He did a great job recruiting while at Prattville. Defensively we were always great. Had he never had his dad on staff running a 1920 style offense, Clark would have won more state titles. I think he'd be a good DC hire for a school like State.

I don't know if he is that well liked. When he was a high school coach at Prattville, Auburn fans often accused him of going out of his way to steer any and all college prospects on his team to Alabama

Nice guy and may be a great coach but hasn't coached any D1 players since Prattville.

Yea, I think that was an "Auburn fan" problem, not a Bill Clark problem.

A lot happier with that than I would have been with Bill Clark.

Bill Clark would give us fits recruiting, IMO - and although relatively unproven - is an incredible defensive mind.
