TJ Rives of SEC14.com makes the case HERE.

Will not lie. I would not miss him LOL.

If he wins this year he really is at the pinnacle. Of course, to be honest, even if he does not win this year, he is still the top college football coach.

I just wish he would go to Michigan so we could see how long it takes for Urban's health to take a turn for the worse.

I'd say if he wins a title this year, it might be a consideration. Go out on top with a handful of rings. But then again he'd be walking away from a stacked roster and 1 title away from being the GOAT. I think he shoots for 2 more titles and hangs it up.

Do you honestly see a person with Saban's personality and mindset being able to just kick around the lake house all day? The guy is the quintessential football coach, and wouldn't be happy doing anything else. I have a feeling he's going to coach until he keels over.

The Alabama job has been detrimental to coaches. If Saban is smart, he'll get out soon before he croaks like Bear Bryant did when the job killed him. Or maybe he'll underachieve and get bricks thrown at his house, along with death threats, like Bill Curry and his family. Perhaps he'll end up like Gene Stallings and Bama will try and tarnish his reputation to get him out. Given the stress, an affair with a secretary or excursion to a strip club might not be out of the question either.

I don't understand why people don't get this. He loves to coach and he loves to compete and he is still at the top of his game. He will retire someday but I don't get why people ignore the obvious

Sorry, SEC. Saban isn't going anywhere anytime soon, since he has the chance to be the best ever the way he recruits and the current state of Alabama's tradition.

Yeah The Auburn job has worked out well for guys like Chizik and Terry Bowden. Of course, your team plays on a field named after a convicted cheater that still calls the shots 25 years later.........

Yeah....and Saban looks like he is having fun this year. He has said this is one of the most enjoyable teams he has ever coached so it seeems like the job is giving him a lot of satisfaction...not burn out.

I think his ego compels him to try and become the GOAT of the modern era. Two more titles and you have to give it up for him even when comparing him to Bryant.

I do think Saban is smart enough to know when to hang it up and you won't see him coaching well past that point like Bowden or Paterno.

He is actually really good when he has done the Championship game. He breaks out of the coach speak process and lets his personality out.

Battle retires. Saban named AD. Smart named HC. Kiffin remains as OC. The well oiled machine just keeps spitting out championships.

Oh yeah...and Boom to Bama as DC. (That part's a joke. )

I'm still not convinced Nick knows how to completely unwind, relax, chill out, enjoy a normal life and be content to with the company of his family. I somehow see him working until his health gets the best of him and he is forced to hang it up.
