He's going to overthrow his dad?
Man, that would be an awesome power struggle.

Firing squad. The best coups end in firing squads. I know, I know, there's the whole French Revolution thing. But -- and I've felt this way for years -- the French Revolution was a bit overrated. Everybody talks about it like it was some awesome, unbeatable coup, but it was actually pretty mediocre after the first couple of guillotinings.

Yes, he has to get out of his dad's shadow. He's been coaching at SC for 10 seasons. It's time for him to make a move up the ladder, if he wants to be a HC someday. I think y'all should take him.

I wouldn't get your hopes up getting rid of him. I think Stoops lands Lincoln Riley of ECU.

I must emphatically disagree. While firing squads are naturally more efficient and cost less monetarily, they are for poor, uncultured, uncivilized societies(if we may properly call them such). The guillotine represents the pomp and circumstance only a country with a well established history and solid foundation can offer. Plus, it strikes fear in ways a firing squad never could. The revolution also highlighted Timeless historical figures such as: Robespierre, Paine, et al. Firing squads are for the Godless Bolsheviks.

Agreed. If you've seen one guillotining you've seen them all.

Well...I grant the pomp and circumstance. But I think you're falling victim to the classic "Loud Noises!" fallacy. Though you don't admit it, it's pretty clear you look down on the indiscreet cacophony of the firing squad. Yes, guns are noisy, but that doesn't detract from the innate ceremonial aspects of lining up the shooters, giving the target one last cigarette, and doing the whole "Ready...aim...fire!" thing.
Granted, the Commies used it, but that shouldn't cheapen the act itself. I mean, Missouri plays football but that doesn't make football a sissified Yankee activity in general, right?

Touché. However, I still stand by my argument. I would also argue that the loudest noises, both literally and figuratively would be that if the firing squads, the guillotine is far too foreboding and macabre to fall under said fallacy.

We should vote to pay the equivelant of Ward's salary to anyone that will take him off our hands.
