What does A&M have to do to attract a good DC?

I really thought Muschamp would go to the Aggies. Being in the state of Texas and at an SEC team seemed like a perfect fit for him even if they are the state's fourth best program.

Guys like Muschamp and other coaches have to be figuring out that A&M is in over their heads in this league. At first it seemed like a great gig to coach for a Texas school in this conference. But this is the Aggies and not the Longhorns, and it's apparent they will never be a threat.

What will it take for Aggie to be able to attract a great coach, one who cares about winning titles along with being paid well?

Have you ever been to College Station?

It'll be the only time you go.

I went once as a kid. Parents friends were Aggies and kept talking about how great College Station was. Needless to say, after our visit my parents came to their senses and realized they needed to pick friends with better tastes

Spin it however you want. It came down to Muschamp and his family being somewhere comfortable and close to their family. It wasn't about money. Both teams are in the SEC West with very good offensive head coaches.

Who is to say A&M still isn't landing a stud DC? Was Muschamp the only decent one available? And even when they do make the hire. We won't know how good it is until we see results. Look at Ole Miss. Who the hell thought Womack was a strong hire at the time? No me and probably not many, but look how he had Ole Miss kicking arse. Same goes for Arky and Smith to a lesser extend.

Have you?
It's a great place.
Anyone without an agenda can admit that.

Serious answer to the OP's trolling, non-serious question: Identify and hire a guy--in the next week--who can flat-out coach defense.
There are some fantastic options out there.
Muschamp is a great defensive mind, but college football is filled with stout defenses coaches.

Enjoyed your post,

Sumlin's next good defense will be his first. 8 years as head coach and he's hiring his 4th DC. Mack should flip to LSU if he wants to be coached and play on a good defense.

Make their next DC the highest paid coordinator like Auburn did?

He has already coached twice previously at Auburn. How is that not the perfect fit?

I thought A&M was working on Bud Foster? That would be a great hire.

Everything is accurate except one minor typo.
