The TRUTH about the Will Muschamp hire

I said it in the Bama recruiting thread so I'll put it here

It was a good hire. I believe Will very possibly might realize after being a HC at a major SEC school that he is a far better coordinator so he is gonna be at AU a while. I don't see him jumping at the chance to be a HC at another school anytime soon.

As far as impact goes, Auburns D will be better simply from a scheme standpoint, but the high level Muschamp expects out of his defenses takes a certain type of NFL caliber player in the secondary, something Auburn doesn't have right now. Every single D he has fielded that was an excellent one, and he has had a few, took that level of defender in the secondary, so it's gonna take him at least a year or 2 to get those guys in place, but I think again he is up for the challenge and will be at Auburn the amount of time it's gonna take to build it. He always recruited the state of Alabama well even at UF because of his roots laid out when he was at Auburn. It was a great hire by Gus and I look forward to seeing him transform AU's D back to where it was. I would like to see AU be a competitor year in and year out continuing forward and Will Muschamp will greatly help that cause.
