A million is still a lot of money. There aren't 15 coordinators on both sides of the ball in this sport that make over a million. I think a million budget at the start of Sumlin's time and we would have had Narduzzi. A million is still going to get us a good coach, or it can get us a good coach.

I would guess (though I don't know and neither does anybody else) that Foster, Narduzzi, and Venables are, indeed, at the top of Sumlin's list. That's a far cry from promising that the next DC is going to be one of those.
FWIW Liucci irritates me with "my sources tell me". I'm gonna go out on a limb and say his sources don't know any more than you or I do. It seems plain to me that Sumlin is the only one who knows squat. To me it would be smarter to just come out and say, "I don't have a clue".
The weird thing about all those posts is Liucci has said all week that Muschamp was out or at best unlikely, but people are irate (for some reason at him) that we aren't getting him.

We'll get somebody good. I'm confident of that. On the TexAgs forums (premium included) people are having seizures because one of the four big names Liucci mentioned is no longer available. That makes no sense. And even past those 4, there are still plenty of good candidates.

This has nothing to do with what we CAN afford and everything to do with Sumlin waffling on this hire for so long. If you don't think we could win a bidding war with anyone in the country besides teasip, you are fooling yourself. It's our boosters or more likely Hyman who aren't willing to commit to winning championships

frick Liucci. As sad as this is for me personally, knowing that we're whiffing on this hire and as a result it's only a couple of years before we'll be hiring ANOTHER head coach to disappoint us, I do still derive a great deal of schadenfreude from watching that kingsize douche Liucci get hammered by his followers and throw a tantrum.

This coaching carousel has been spinning for too long and now we're starting to get nauseated.
Foster is looking less likely, Liucci's updates have taken a turn towards negative town, and venables isn't happening either.
