I doubt A&M is anywhere close to selling out the Liberty Bowl, but damn Cocks. That's a lot of empty seats your school is going to be paying for.

Edit: I'm not trying to be too hard on USCe. That's a shitty bowl. I went back in 08. Only decent thing was casinos near by.

This is why #Auburn is a top bowl pick. Sold out our allotment & requested more.

They're quitting just like their coach nearly did after the Clemson loss.

As bad as the stadium in Shreveport is, I don't know of any other place that FBS teams play at that is worse than Legion Field.

Doubt there will be many that make the trip, especially after the last time we went there. It's not surprising news to us in the least.

Didn't the tickets just go on sale yesterday?

We won't sell our allotment, but it will get somewhat better. I don't see many other SEC teams doing much better with a 6-6 team in this position.

your fans travel to Tampa better than a team does to Shreveport, which is also twice as far from their campus?

This is the main reason I think there are too many bowls, yeah a team that scratches and claws its way to get to 6-6 and go to a bowl, like Vanderbilt in 2008, that's one thing. But a team like South Carolina who drastically underachieved and had a 6-6 year? No one wants to go to a bowl for that.

Fans are less likely to want to travel to a bowl game when the team underachieved for the year. Just look at the 2011 Gator Bowl between Florida and Ohio State who both went 6-6. No one cared.

I'm sure your athletic department has been taking requests from back in Nov.

Exactly. We've been a top 10 teams the previous 3 years, then we go 6-6 and get sent to a Winter vacation hot spot, Shreveport, LA. The 2nd furthest SEC bowl available behind the Cotton. How we aren't selling more tickets is beyond me.

Sorry, not everyone can be as excited for being 6-6 as Vol fans.
