He usually sounds nervous and has sort of a feminine voice. He provides decent analysis, though.

I'm waiting to see when Greg McElroy gets his chance, if he hasn't already and I don't know about it. The IB call in show he was by far the best in there.

Listening to him talk is 5 times worse than his over-hyped play on the field. God, WHY CAN'T THIS ABOMINATION TO SPORTS GO AWAY?

I think Tebow has greatly improved as an announcer. I've heard him a few times visiting the booth and he provides some great analysis.

Hopefully he won't be yelling or sounding out of breath.

He called a little during the Kentucky - UF game and I thought he was excellent, knowledgeable and lucid. I hope he calls our low-profile games.

When I saw the subject line I honestly thought ... oh boy, here comes Tebow, he's coming-out of the closet.

I'm glad that's not what this is about.

Couldn't be worse than some of the others we've dealt with recently.

Was everyone else's first reaction:

"huh wonder what he's going to announce...oh, frick, the game?"

He's nails technically. I hope he does well. His voice is a little girly though.

I feel bad for any normal non-athlete college kid that studied/worked to become a sports broadcaster.

Even the shitty announcers are getting jobs over some potential talent.

I know a couple and they're actually quite good, but just couldn't get anywhere significant (one was doing AA baseball) and eventually had to decide whether to keep trying to work up the ladder or go make a real income.
