Oki city/Norman to watch a football game?
Believe me it's no treat, none at all.
I'm just curious if anyone, esp, Arky or Aggie fans think adding the Oki's to the SEC would be a good idea.
Speaking for most MU fans I can say no, we don't want them and the idea of adding them is really ludicrous, fuk the rest of bev10, (except ISU, hope they land on their feet).

More than would care to go to Columbia, Missouri.

I live in Oklahoma for a year, and I am NEVER going back if I can help it.

For a football game I would rather go to Norman, but for anything else I would rather go to CoMo. /thread

OKC is alright. Actually, OU wouldn't be a bad add to the SEC

it sucks, but I can see why an Arky would think it's good..

by themselves they wouldn't really hurt the conference though not many fans actually are dumb enough to want to go there for a game.
The SEC office, who thank god is ran by far smarter people than all of you, will NEVER, and I MEAN NEVER, take both OU and OSU, so we can expect not to have to deal with this situation anyhow.

Bricktown (in OCK) is actually a really cool place to visit. They have the perfect set up there when they host the Big XII baseball tourney. Much better than what the SEC does.

Are you inviting me on a road trip?
I'll go but only if it's in one of those VW vans.

I'd be cool with the SEC taking OU and TCU to round it out, but frick the other Big 12 schools. OU has plenty of upside to outweigh the negatives and I have no quarrel with TCU.

I've seen Columbia, Missouri often listed on "best college town" rankings, "most educated city" rankings, "high growth economy" rankings, etc etc.
I have never seen Norman, Oklahoma or, God forbid, Stillwater on any "good" lists.

Actually, both have been on Money Magazine's "Best Small Cities" list in recent years.
I have spent a LOT of time in both. Norman has lots of amenities, a high standard of living, and is in close proximity to OKC. Stillwater is much smaller, and has the feel of a college town.
