I always wonder if you were to take away the stats of the worst regions of each state if the rankings would change dramatically.

How the frick is TX not on this list? I remember growing up and San Antonio and Houston alternated as the country's fattest cities.

Whenever I see those "fattest city" rankings, the methodology is always something stupid like most restaurants per capita.

Kentucky has the highest cigarette smoking rate and is the epicenter of the heroin epidemic. Those who don't die of overdoses succumb to lung cancer. Type II diabetes is very common in 70% of our population that is overweight. We're also high in suicides.

Wouldn't you think, based simply on attrition, that Kentucky would begin to drop in this ranking?
