People want to constantly throw the fact that Bama got 600 yards and 42 points against Muschamp around and say that that means Muschamp will never be able to stop them. That's just completely and totally wrong. First of all he doesn't have to face Cooper again and we all know Bama's offense more than likely isn't going to be as dynamic without him. Second of all Saban has had his share of 40+ points allowed 500 yards allowed games. 2000 against Florida and 2004 for example. He's done it at Alabama too, albeit against Johnny Manziel, but it still happened.

And also I see Georgia fans throwing around "34-7 we exposed Gus for the fraud he is". Do you honestly think 1 game means Gus is done? Name the most dynamic offensive coaches you can think of and then show me one who has never coached a game where they scored very little. Hell, Chip Kelly only mananged 19 against Auburn's mediocre 2010 defense and Steve Spurrier only managed to coach his football team to 7 points against Florida St in 2000.

Point is Will and Gus are some of the best coaches at their respective sides of the ball regardless of a game here and there where they are just outcoached.

No. This isn't even if he goes to Auburn, this is just if he hypothetically returns to the SEC.

You know what really hamstrings a defense? NO offense whatsoever.

Not true. 15 points scored in 2006 10 scored in 2007. Bama is 1-2 against him as a coordinator and 3-2 overall.

Auburn's offense hasn't been hurry up since Cam Newton was here so that shouldn't be a factor.

The thing is ... Boom will only be facing Bama in the years where they rotate onto SCAR's schedule, and the years when Bama makes it to Atlanta when SCAR is there.

Regardless ... it won't be every year.

I don't see why people are so sure Muschamp is going to SCAR. They still have a defensive coordinator so I'm sure Muschamp doesn't have an offer from them and I doubt that he's even talked with SCAR yet.

Bama smoked his defense this year and in the 2009 natty when he was at Texas. He is good, but not legendary, not even close. He is not your savior aubie, sorry.

Haha! You're using Shula's last year and Saban's first year as your argument?

Malzahn has had his share of success against Bama's defense as well. Would you say that means Bama could never defend AU while Malzahn is there?

Let's be real, good is all he will need to be to keep Auburn contending.
