Agree with this comment that it seems odd that 9-3 Georgia gets the low payout Belk Bowl while 8-4 Auburn is getting a nice payout at the Outback Bowl.

==================================================
Sugar (Bama) $18,0000,0000 (Plus potential for $22,000,000 for Championship Game)
Orange (MSU) $18,000,000
ChickFila (Ole Miss) $3,967,500
---------------------------------
Citrus (Mizzou) 4,250,000
Outback (Auburn) 3,500,000
Texas (Arkie) $3,000,000 (Got lucky, TAMU and LSU wanted other bowls)
Music (LSU) $2,750,000 (Wanted this over the Texas Bowl)
TaxSlayer (UT) $2,750,000
Belk (UGA) $1,750,000 (Seems to be low for a 9-3 team)
Liberty (TAMU) $1,437,500 (Cost of not wanting to play Texas)
Independence (USC) $1,200,000
Birmingham (Florida) $1,100,000

we share the total sum of that money equally so what difference does it make..

even Vandy and Kaintuck get the same share as all the other teams get.

Bowl payouts are shared. Playoff bowl teams get a slightly larger cut, but others come out equal. At least that's how I understand it. I think that's the only way the schools would have agreed to the new selection process.

Otherwise the conference would basically be stealing money from UGA.

The Peach and Cotton (3.6 mill) aren't paying near as much as the Fiesta and Orange (18 Mill) for the newly formed premiere bowls or whatever you call them now. Why is that?

I know it's SDS, but this explains how the payouts are divided.

Sugar bowl is wrong. I think the playoff games are either 4 or 6 million.

There is NO additional payout for making the championship game..so the Bama stuff is all wrong.

The big money pick up was for the SEC to get in playoffs, Peach, and Orange.

Likewise, just saying we seem to have gotten stuck with a lesser bowl considering our record. Maybe the Outback Bowl just got tired of hosting us.

We would have been Outback but they have an inside connection with Auburn.

Music City doesn't like us.

Frankly, we should have still been Peach.

The bowls 3-8 don't pick anymore....the SEC picks. Considering we share the revenue, the SEC considers those 6 games equal regardless of name or payout.

No bowl is tired of us. We travel well for bowl games
