considering the BS media hoopla surrounding the recruitment of the kid out of FSU (Coker), I am glad he pulled it together and took the #1 job for his own... 95% of bama fans asked would have never thought it a possibility during the summer of 2014, congrats kid, you deserve it!

Very cool that a guy who was battling for a starting position got 2nd team All-SEC

Congrats to Sims! Great player

Blake Sims is better than Jake Coker. I said he would win the job before the season and meant it, although I would have much rather gone against Jacob Coker. He's just a lot more dangerous and Auburn has always struggled against dual threat quarterbacks.

You had no idea what type of QB Blake would become. If you said this it was just you hoping Blake would win the job and then Bama would lose because of it. You didn't have any inside information on Blake's ability.

I, too, thought Coker would end up starting over Sims but I never was hostile toward the thought of Sims winning the job like some Alabama fans were. I was rooting for both QBs because both QBs play for my favorite team.

I can say that I wanted to Blake to be the QB from the time he ran the read option in at Arkansas in 2011.

However, I had no idea if he would be any good. But I wanted him to be as bad as any player at Alabama in a long while.

I told the Bama fans that Blake Sims would be their guy, and not a damn one of them would listen to me. Shame on you Bama fans for not listening to me.

my son's golf coach is friends with Coker's dad and told me at the beginning of the season that Sims was lights out the starter and would have a hard time losing spot to Coker. Said everyone on football team was extremely impressed with the incredible progress Sims made since the spring.

Give it to Sims, he felt the heat and worked his tail off and won the job and did an amazing job. Whats more impressive is the way he did it, HUMBLE!

i will include myself in those that were wrong at the beginning. i am glad i was wrong.
