Orange Bowl is tied with Fiesta for the shittiest major 4 bowl.
TBH it would be very sensical to replace those games with the Peach and Cotton, they just won't because they can't overload the south.

I like peaches better than oranges, so there's that

As stated they are now on equal footing. The Orange has always been considered better until this year. Now, they are equal.

Are these bowls playing each other? What's the spread?

What? Why?

I would consider the Orange better still, but it sucks in the sense that it is difficult to get to and Miami is expensive as shite. I would be impressed if State brings 15,000 fans. Same as I would be if OM brought the same.

Orange is paying 27.5 mil while Peach pays 4 mil, so about 23.5 million dollars better

You can make cobbler out of peaches. And pie. And ice cream.
Peach by a mile.
Peach by a mile.

It also has provided awful matchups and terrible attendance in recent years.

Actually we sold our 12,500 bowl allotment, and we have asked for more tickets. I see around 20,000 MSU fans being there. GT might bring 3,000-5,000.

So that means Ole Miss gets 1/14 of 31.5M and State gets 1/14 of 31.5M.
How does that come out? Anyone?

I think those are old numbers. I thought all the Big 6 bowls paid out the same amount.

Kind of petty, but I hope now that it's back to being called "The Peach Bowl", the bowl got a new trophy. The Chik-fil-a Bowl trophy is/was really ugly

Historically it's the Orange Bowl by a fair margin. One of the "big four" of the Cotton, Sugar, Rose, and Orange. Recently the Fiesta has replaced the Cotton in prestige, but those are the bowls with the big histories.
This year they are on equal footing.
