Who do you think replaces them? I wonder if Tosh Lupoi would get a look for Steele's job.

Unless he gets hired as CSU's HC, and he might, I don't see why McElwain wouldn't bring Dave Baldwin with him as OC. From what I've read, he was much more involved in playcalling and schemes than just being a puppet to McElwain's calls.

And if Baldwin did take the HC job, I'd question if McElwain would let Napier call plays. Baldwin is a 35 year coaching vet, Napier for 11. He'd essentially be there for his recruiting prowess, and I'm not sure it would advance his career. Whereas he could be in for the OC job at Bama in a year, and he'll get more leeway offensively(even if hampered by Saban's philosophy).

If Napier does go to UF, I'd throw a lot of money at Adam Henry at LSU. He's fills in all the areas Napier recruits and is a good coach to boat...

Cochran's assistant, Mark Hocke, will be the head of football strength and conditioning coach at UGA.

Pete Roussel is sticking with his prediction of Napier to UF as OC after the title game. Long time to wait for them.

Why is that a long time? He will be on staff before the contact period if he does come to UF. In all honesty, yr 1 classes are mostly throwaways outside of a few prospects. McElwain needs to focus on getting the best staff for HIM, people that he trusts and enjoys working with. Couldn't care less about a transition recruiting class.

I think his first class is a little more important than that.

I agree he needs to make the right staff moves though.

Florida and Georgia seem to be in some sort of competition to see who can hire the most former Alabama assistants.

The rumor on BOL is that Napier could be next. One of the insiders is saying that he doesn't have a great relationship with the players, and might be encouraged to look elsewhere. TIFWIW.

Fire all the coaches!

I'd hope they'd have a TX/LA recruiter lined up if they were willing to let Napier go. Big year in Texas for 2016, he's got major ties with Greg Little and Kaden Smith. Groh could easily slide back in, if there's no hard feelings.

Wish they'd push Bobbeh out to pasture and go after Birmingham native Chip Long. Young, good TE coach, and very good recruiter.
