Some of us are thinking about going down to NOLA (with lube because everyone said we'll need it) since we'll be in Atlanta during Christmas break and we're concerned about Bama fans. I'm sure we'll show up in droves and so will Bama but for the negative reputation and stigma that the elephants get, is the interaction with their fans as bad as most people make it out to be? I'm sure not everyone can be Phyillis (who is actually a nice lady) or in your face yelling so I prefer to hold back judgement on a fanbase based on others actions.

I have never even seen a Bama fan up north so should I be worried?

Don't eat at Krystal and you should be fine.

Step 1: Don't get drunk and pass out.

You already mentioned lube, so - bring mouthwash.

Depends. If you mind having a hairy ball sack dragged across your passed out face you should avoid New Orleans or at the very least alcohol. That's what we do here.

You should be more worried about your coach heart.

It's a neutral site game, so you won't get many Gumps at all. It should be fine. They were just fine in Atlanta. Couple dickheads, but for the most part they were pretty good.

Now, they were also kicking our arse so that may have had something to do with it.

Mind your manners and you will be fine. Start some crap up and well... you know what happens.

Anyway, should be a good one. And beating Urbie never gets old. Just hope he doesn't retire again after the game. He didn't look too good yesterday even with getting the fourth spot.

Never seen a Bama fan up North? I knew this was a bogus Aubie or LSU fan posting when I read that.

As a Bama fan who moved North and knows quite a few Buckeye fans, I believe I am in a perfect position to answer this question:

Just don't be yourself. Then after you stay in New Orleans for a few days, NOT being someone from Ohio, embrace this newfound humanity. Keep not being yourself. If you decide to return to Ohio (ill advised), perhaps you can bring back a sliver of humanity to that state.

Good luck!

They usually only kill each other. You're confused.

Bama fans are obnoxious and kind of gross, but they're not especially dangerous. You're thinking of LSU.

Maybe just be a normal person and avoid anybody in either crimson or scarlet that has a slur in their speech and shows the familiar signs of danger.

For the season opener in ATL most of them kept to themselves. Like they were too good to interact with WVU fans.

Ive never seen that at a bowl or away game. Nothing like my other Bowl games, SEC, Big 12 or old Big East road trips.
