Smart takes over at HC and continues to run the defense and recruit just like Saban does now. We all know he's Saban jr.

Hire Pruitt as DC and give him a filthy amount of money. That keeps our defense elite like it always is.

Kiffin won't be here. He will become a HC again. Would love to bring in Clay Helton as the OC.

Would basically keep our system alive and would require no transition, but keep up with the evolution with football all at once.

Anything that does not involve saban staying can't be considered a dream. Maybe a mid day nap hope, but not a dream.

McElroy comes in as HC after a Stallings-like career from Smart.

McElroy breaks everyone's records by winning 7 straight NCs and 13 of 18. Retires at the age of 75.

Who knows what the landscape will be like in ten years when this decision is made?

I don't want Smart unless he leaves after this season to prove himself as a HC elsewhere first.

I would actually be excited about Smart if Saban moves into the office down the hall. And while I don't know if Saban would say yes to that, I think the university will at least make him say no.

And I think it will still be a few years before any university hands over the keys to Kiffin. And that's a good thing for us.

No. We don't know anything about him.

At this point, I would rather have McElwain or Bill Clark than Smart.

McElroy
mcelroy has a long broadcasting career ahead of him. Doubt he gets into coaching, although he would be good at that. He can eventually make just as much money on tv worth way less stress
