UAB Fans To Auburn?

With bama killing the UAB football program, will those fans migrate to Auburn in their bama hatred?

Auburn fans won't let them. It's an unwritten rule that you have to go there to have the honor of cheering for the Auburn Tigers

They were already either Alabama or Auburn fans. No longer having a team to support is going to change that.

Maybe Auburn could reach out and play UAB in a bowl game.
...opps too late.
Darn.

I'd just root for whoever's playing Bama each weekend if I were them. They had their team. They know who ripped it away from them. They can't change the past or where their degree is from or where they live. And none of those things are related to Auburn. This is between UAB and its entirely Bama grad-led System Board of Trustees who screwed them over. They can just live off hating Bama alone, don't need to adopt some random new team to do that.

Four of the board members hold degrees from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Think before you post.

They may not have large numbers - I don't know them but I'm sure the numbers are small - but nonetheless, these people do exist and would summarily give recurring posts like yours the middle finger I would imagine.
What as an outsider I don't get is why Bama was either so insecure or so petty as to keep meddling in the UAB program to begin with. Who gives a shite? If they were a nothing program with no fans then they are no threat, so...WTF?

Were any of the UAB fans four or five star fans coming out of high school? Gotta think Gus would love to add some more fan talent to his TV viewing audience.

14 of the 17 people have degrees from Alabama on the webpage I just saw. In any event its a blatantly large Bama majority controlling the System that makes decisions regarding UAB. Your mighty four UAB degree holders were badly outnumbered and outvoted that's clear. It is, undeniably, a Bama-grad led Board of Trustees. I work in politics and watch these sorts of things go down all the time, it's pretty easy to call this one from afar.

UAB had like 1 five star fan in past 5 years and he flaked out....think I heard he was working at a dairy queen or something.

Well, the Tuscaloosa campus does have the better law and business schools, so I would think most of the people on the BOT would have degrees from UA and not UAB or UAH.

So Bama, again as an outsider, please explain to me this passage on BlazerSportsReport.com by Ben Cook before all this went down, and combined with knowing what a vast majority of Bama grads it is that controls the Board of Trustees, why I should dismiss it? Help me understand why this below is lies or bogus. I'm not ruling that out but tell me why:
"The question now is will the Trustees keep their hands off the UAB program? This is the same group that has fought UAB every step of the way keeping the Blazers from having an on-campus stadium and blocked them from hiring Jimbo Fisher as head coach and instead brought in Neil Callaway when Watson Brown was let go."

Oh, you're talking about Nate. I remember him. He had such a promising fan career ahead of him and then...he blew out his foam finger. I saw the clip on Sportscenter. It was hard to watch.

I'm telling you straight up that people with Bama undergrad/bachelors degrees have a massive majority on the Board. I see at least 11 of them right here. It's a Bama undergrad controlled entity. That's just what it is. What that means in relation to all this, I'm trying to understand.

Troy will have a huge increase in attendance and start asking why Bama and Auburn both are too scared to play them.

Cook is an Auburn fan. He used to co-host a radio show in Birmingham.
True (primarily) UAB fans are virtually non-existent, although there are more now that the BOT authorized the campus green and on-campus housing to make it less of a commuter school.
Pretty much every student and alum of UAB is primarily an AU or UA fan. Sorry, ATX. That's just the way it is.
