Big win today. We definitely need to make up for last year's tourney performance. Two years ago we almost made the final four though.

LOL, I was about to come say this exact same thing. I always get a hint of hope about UGA BBall, both men;s and women's, only to watch them both gack it up every year.

Is it really choking? There are like 2-4 teams in womens bball that are light years ahead of the rest of the field. We aren't ever one. We usually "choke" by losing to them.

idk...we had a huge lead in a elite 8 game 2 years ago and blew it, IIRC

Oh I don't remember the specifics of that one.
Just that I always know we have no shot of winning the tourney when we get in. Even we are a 3 or 4 seed.

Yeah...that year I was talking about, we actually beat Stanfoprd in the sweet 16, but yeah. UConn, Notre Dame, and whoever else usually dominate.

I feel like every year UGA is ranked in the teens, makes the tourney, does well and then makes it to the sweet 16 and gets their asses kicked. Every now and then they make an elite 8 appearance but ultimately they are getting sacrificed to Baylor, UConn, NDs, Stanfords of the world.

They have been to 5 Final Fours, that ties them with LSU for 6th place all time behind Tennessee, Connecticut, Stanford, La Tech, and Notre Dame. If they make another Final Four before Notre Dame, they will be tied for 5th place all time. Baylor has only been to 3 Final Fours. Of those 5 appearances they have made it to 2 championship games. One was a loss to Old Dominion and the other was a loss to Tennessee.
