Committee favored Alabama?

The committee must have a vested interest in Alabama. They knew Baylor or TCU's offense would have stressed Bama's D, so instead they put in a one dimensional Ohio State team.
Bama would have lost to TCU or Baylor. Now they get a cakewalk into the championship game.

Dear god, can people just not admit that Alabama is one of the best teams in the country?

I can't agree with your conspiracy theory. But I do think TCU or Baylor would've been a tougher matchup for Bama.

Alabama can't stop vertically based passing teams. The committee knew this. So they chose Ohio State

Bama would want TCU/Baylor/Oregon in the semis. Saban will have a month to game-plan, and if they met another of that bunch in the title game, they'd still have that month under their belt. Not to say that OSU isn't the easiest possibility, but if Bama wins, they will now only have a week to game-plan for Oregon. the likely winner of Oregon/FSU.

Agreed on Oregon, but the best option is to not prep for them at all. Now he doesn't even to need to worry about Baylor or TCU
