What happens if MSU defeats Ole Miss and finishes 11-1?
The Maroons get in before Florida State or Ohio State?
You want to talk about ticked off people around the country if the SEC could have got two teams in

Maybe. Our only loss would have been to #1, on the road, by 5
But 31-17

I honestly feel like we still get left out with a win over Ole Miss.
At least I'll keep thinking this to make myself feel better about the loss.

As you can see now... without a championship... No
unless FSU or OSU were a 2 loss champ.. then maybe

I thought about this too.
The problem is that we thought controversy surrounding the #4 spot would not be as bad as the controversy surrounding the #2 spot. And maybe it isn't.
Hell, imagine if this year still used the BCS. You'd have every team in the top 6 winning convincingly in the last weekend. One of them is undefeated. Five have one loss.
We'd be looking at Alabama vs. Florida State for the championship and everyone else screaming for a playoff.
Is it better now? Yeah. It is. Alabama has a good loss and the trophy from the toughest conference in the country. Oregon avenged their loss. Florida State is undefeated. Ohio State, Baylor, and TCU all had tarnishes on their resumes that could have been decided by a coin flip.

31-17 I see 4 numbers, but still does not provide me with an answer. I am guessing from the MSU fan's post, that was the MSU-Ole Miss score?

Same thing would have happened as what just did happen. The committee's reasoning about putting Ohio State in over two one-loss teams from the B12, at least one of which had a better schedule Ohio State, would remain unchanged. They're really sticking to their guns about the CCG thing.

If they are sticking to their guns about the CCG thing but never disclosed this before the season began, then I think it is wrong to use it now as a reason for selecting one team over another. Now, I would also select Ohio State as a top 4 team, but honestly, could not tell you why other than the Baylor-TCU score just completely turned me off

Another what if:
Does Ohio State jump an undefeated Baylor or TCU?
