nor play in the SEC title game, but yet they went to title game and won. So big deal if tcu and baylor didn't play a conference title game. At least bama had a chance to play a conference championship game and failed to make it. Why punish tcu or baylor?

Because they play in the weakest power 5 conference, don't play a championship game, and played absolute garbage OOC games.

The B1G is maybe slightly weaker, but not enough to discount tOSU

In all fairness, do you really believe TCU+Baylor 2014 = Alabama LSU 2011? Don't know what world you live on if you think that.

I think you make a good point actually. The committee is in a tough spot for sure now.

This is not 2011. And people need to stop thinking and comparing how it used to be. The committee is independent and so is each weeks rankings. They have aid this over and over. They have said Conf champs will be a factor. Just because no one wants to listen is not their fault.

Because 21-0 started the decline and the committee doesn't want to see another program become a dumpster fire like LSU.

You do realize that we are no longer choosing based on the BCS right? Two totally different scenarios.

Bama should not have gotten a mulligan, they lost at home. OSU should not have lost to Iowa State. But the mulligan game helped us get this 4 team playoff which is much more fair and does not screw the third ranked team.

Oregon would have been screwed and Bama would have only had to BEAT FSU under the old system.

It's useless trying to talk serious sports on this board anymore.

LSU lost two games in 2007 and still made the national title game. Why punish Mississippi St, Michigan State, etc for only having two losses?
