Just drops all the rules, Makes Alabama and Oregon #1 and #2 with "bye" weeks while
3. FSU vs. 6 Baylor
4. TCU vs. 5 OSU

fight it out for the third and fourth seed.

Actually the only reasonable solution I feel.

The committee should just set the size of the bracket depending on how many deserving teams there are

What's the contract on this current set-up? 3 years?

As much power as the committee has.. I don't think they can just recreate the whole fricking thing and add in a extra game.

They should just do 5 and have a play in game between 4 and 5. OSU vs Baylor

If they have enough power to choose one conference over another, and one team out of three basically even resumed teams, then why not?

Just do it. Who's gonna stop them? The committee on the committee?

Lawyers at the lowest level.. I'm sure it's built into the contract they have to decide on a top 4 and cant just make up a whole new system. but ya know... act like they are the new world order... that's about as dumb as the committee is/

I know it would never happen, but would any fan be actually so irate if they came out tomorrow, admitted this thing turned into a clusterfrick, and proposed the idea I mentioned above?

I don't think a single fanbase would get pissed off as everyone would have a shot. Most would just accept it, and say damn, that took some balls to admit.

Yes but is a VTech loss worse than a WVU loss? Who decides that?

a situation that doesn't use computers and gives 4 teams a head to head chance vs the old version of two schools is getting more debate and questioning than the old system.

You are exactly right. All 6 of these teams have earned the right to participate in the 4 team tournament. Hell, actually all 6 of these teams have a legitimate claim to being rated no. 1.

The first year of the 4 team tournament and it's already a joke.

The only legitimate way to do it is with conference champions playing for the tournament and it is the conferences problem if the best team doesn't win the conference (such as an unlikely, but possible, Missouri upset).

The way for the SEC to do it is for all of the SEC teams play 12 SEC games, scrap the current championship game, and the regular season champ play another conference champ in the 1st round.

What they should do is drop FSU cause they are definitely not a top 4 team and both Big12 teams cause they don't have a championship.
