5 star high school recruit. Never even reached "average" receiver status.

Well, he was supposed to be the 2nd coming of Jesus. He was passed over in the Texas program and somehow some way was supposed to be randy moss when he arrived in Columbia. Also, mauk was supposed to be Andrew luck/ Peyton manning hybrid too.

He didn't live up to his billing, but I don't see the need for the good riddance stuff.

2 more years of Mauk is 2 more years of painful offense to watch, but it seems a lot of Mizzou fans are into pain.

I'm hoping he matures and grows into a player. He was still a sophomore and I thought he showed some signs late in the year. Biggest thing he did was cut down on the turnovers.

His completion percentage and yards suffered because of so many damn dropped balls. I know Culkin would drop a perfectly thrown ball and then catch a ball thrown low and behind him. Made no sense. I'm more worried about who is Mauk going to throw it to than I am of Mauk right now.

I don't know what you all were expecting of Mauk, but I'd say he is pretty much what I expected. A big play guy who will suffer in the consistency game. Johnny Football wasn't consistent. they are very much the same player, except A&M had a much better receiving corps.

Maty needs to improve his pocket awareness. Instead of rolling left he should look to step up in the pocket. Or at least roll to his strong side. A righty consistently rolling left is odd

He passed up a couple of good runs early against 'bama that were there if he just steps up.

I totally agree on Mauk passing up on some runs early. When the offense goes well he will take 8 yard gains as opposed to rolling backwards like he did against Bama. It's so obvious he needs to step up in the pocket on some of those plays, however 2 of his biggest plays were when he rolled out so... I hope he improves in the off season and I look for him to gain more consistency throughout a game.

Maty really struggled earlier in the year, when he was trying to play like JFF after all of the preseason comparisons. IMO he needs to learn to manage the game more efficiently, rather than relying so much on the big play.
