I find it pretty weird they have dropped to #4?
Defending champions. Undefeated. Shouldn't move until they lose.
People arguing narrow wins, weak schedule...
Look at Oregon... They don't play anyone all year and are always super hyped. Lost to Arizona. Played 3 ranked opponents all year. Number 2.
Look at Alabama... (Inb4 butthurt and all that crap). Strong schedule, no arguing there but still have a loss to their name. AND had some nail biters as well correct?
Look at TCU... Same thing. One loss. Some narrow wins...
Not here to argue against Alabama being #1, rather here to argue FSU should be #1.

I think they are doing it for geographically matched semi-final games.

Dude, FSU hasn't just snuck by a couple teams. They've had 6-8 games where it's impossible to tell if they were even the better team on the field.
If you think they are the best team in the country, then have them #1. But this committee doesn't think they are, and neither do I.

they just haven't looked good against their weak schedule.

They went undefeated last year and beat the SEC Champ in the BCS title game.
They are still undefeated.

It just defies logic to make a team #1 when at one point in time, on the field, according to the score, they where the inferior team.

Polls are subjective. They're not standings like in the pros, where margin of victory and the eye test doesn't matter. Watching FSU this year, do you think they're good enough that they would beat Bama, Oregon or TCU? I don't.
