Hoke says Cass is "contemplating" leaving and giving it some "hard" thought.

Usually in these situations this means he gone

More "insider" notes not from Hoke.

Rumored to be leaving early:

Cass
Avery Young
Sammie

Considering leaving early:
Duke

Definitely leaving early:
Sammie

UPDATES Per Hoke 12/8/14

Sammie is definitely gone. He's projected anywhere from late first to early 4th. He graduates from AU this month.

Daquille is "up in the air" he was leaning towards returning then he had an excellent iron bowl and now his stock has momentum. He's hearing anywhere from top 25 pick to outside of the top 25 wrs.

Cass Cass is really giving the NFL a hard look. He doesn't want to have to learn a new defense his senior year. His stock isn't where it needs to be and he knows that. Hoke now says it's "Highly Unlikely" Cass leaves.

Frost Same as Cass. Highly Unlikely

Avery Young
Giving the NFL a look, but not a "serious" look. He knows he needs another year to settle in at 1 position. Chances are unlikely per Hoke.

It took him 2 years to barely understand Johnson's scheme. You think he is going to look good learning a new one?

Afraid Tre might take his job maybe? Only reason I could think of.

He's a thumper that plays downfield and has trouble in space. He literally might go undrafted this year. NFL scouts, from everything I've read, aren't very high on him. I think his best fit would be inside on a 34 defense. I guess his added dimension in the pass rush game could help him, but it's just a dumb decision, IMO.

This is the biggest thing to me. It seems like on any passing down he almost always comes out. If he wants to get drafted he needs to work on that.

Braden Smith and Austin Golson better come to camp ready to contribute next year. Kozan likely out til August and no Avery Young is a blow.

No way Avery Young goes pro. That would be absolutely insane. Whoever is in his ear is an idiot.

Kozan likely out til August next year? Jesus, did he get hit by a truck or something? That's a full year.

Cass is being ridiculous. I don't think he'd even get drafted.

I would imagine that his brother, who plays in the NFL, should be able to advise him well.

When you have back surgery? Yeah, take it from me, it's like you've been hit by a fricking truck.

ESPECIALLY lower back surgery.

Yeah. Doesn't make any sense... AY could blow up Greg Robinson style if he comes back... as if now, would he even get a combine invite?

Some guys need to be getting some better advice than this.

Rumor is Dampeer hasn't turned out like staff had hoped and Jordan Diamond is a dud. Hope Young stays or we'll be starting a freshman on the line somewhere

When Young plays G and not T he is an elite prospect. He'll be among the top performers for interior linemen at the combine if he goes.
