Had he not left State for UConn, do you think he would have the team in better shape? I couldn't help but notice several defensive linemen with their hands on their hips last Saturday.
For example, it's well documented that Chris Jones has gained an unhealthy amount of weight (and that he's unhappy about playing DT, but let's not get too bogged down with his attitude problems). Do you think with a better strength coach (Balis) he would be at a more suitable playing weight?
I was watching the replay of the State game and couldn't help but notice how slow he looked off the ball. On one particular play he completely missed a 165 lb. running back after having a clear shot at him (pictured below).
Would Balis have been the difference between 10-2 and 12-0?

I seriously can't believe OM fans are this butthurt about their season. You still got 9 wins and won the egg bowl. It will be ok.

I know you're upset. Next year all of your A+ recruits will be back. Freeze will be back. OM is poised for a solid season if they get the qb situation worked out (which I know they will). You'll look back on this 9-3 season involving a 3-game losing skid and laugh. Brighter days are ahead.
