With Bama carrying the SEC flag in football and UK carrying the SEC flag in basketball now is the time for discussions on who will carry the SEC baseball flag this spring. LINK

"Carrying the SEC flag"

Your exact words. Bama hasn't even won the SEC yet. UK hasn't even started SEC play. How are they "carrying a flag" other than being the perineal power of the conference? They don't win the conference every year. LSU baseball has carried the conference in the sport for over 20 years. It's not changing unless someone can unseat us. Let me know when one of those teams gets their 5th NC in the sport, then I'll care enough to worry.

Ftr I could have just posted the intimidator.

We are about 24 hours away on that one

Do you really see UK losing more than 5 games this season heading into tournament time?

I am with you on this but does anybody view LSU baseball dominating the SEC this spring the way Bama has in football and UK will in basketball. Seems like SEC baseball this year is less clear cut with perhaps 6 teams contending for the regular season and a final finish in Hoover.

Are you saying LSU has the same baseball advantage UK basketball does? LINK
80.12% chance to win SEC MBB tournament = Kentucky
19.88% chance to win SEC MBB tournament = Other 13 SEC schools COMBINED.

Lsu has owned Hoover during PM's tenure. We were evening the first team to win from the losers bracket after dropping the day 1 game. Hell we won 08,09,10,13, & 14. We have a very good hitting team returning, and hopefully our young pitchers are ready to duel.

You want to know who carries the conference flag? Look no further than 30.4500° N, 91.1400° W.

Probably the same group of teams with a shot at Omaha.

LSU, South Carolina, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, etc.

West should be pretty stacked this season.

Arkansas is pretty loaded. Also notched one of the top signing classes in the nation.

Vanderbilt is going to be the dominant team in baseball for a while.
