Why were so few MSU fans at the Egg Bowl?

Seems like MSU brought the least amount of fans for an SEC game in a long time. Vandy traveled better than them in 2012.
It was the biggest game for MSU in their shitty existence and they only brought a couple thousand to the Egg Bowl.
Could your peasant farmer fans not afford premium tickets, or did you know deep down in your heart that Ole Miss is better than you on and off the field?

Personally, I decided to go to Tuscaloosa instead. Prefer that over a trip to Oxford.

Same reason we dont travel well to Starkville, no one likes going to the other's stadium after past experiences of losing in their rival's stadium. We didnt take a lot to starkville last year when they had a freshmen going again us.

You went to T-Town is your excuse for not attending the Egg Bowl? I understand people have to pick and choose, I went to every home/away game except Arkansas(thank God), but not much excuse for an hour and a half drive.

Same reason I don't go to Starkville for the Egg Bowl. Their fans/our fans are miserable when the Egg Bowl comes around.

My question is still cereal.
I was shocked at all the rebel fans in the visitor section.
Tickets were $200ish tho and that's like a years worth of KFC family buckets for most state families.
