There was a long thread about this a while back. Payscale uses self reported data...so I am sure that is accurate. People never lie about salaries.

TRUTH

I have met a ton of diehard Bama fans, but never anyone who actually went to school there.

We don't exist. We are only figments of your imagination. Really incredible how we've faked the whole "students" thing for 175+ years.

Surprised it's that high given the massive number of education and business graduates every year at state.

It probably isn't. Payscale is a websites whose figures are on those self-reported by people. So education majors probably aren't running to the web to post their $37K salaries.

So in other words, the SEC routinely gets their asses kicked by a bunch of dumbasses.

Nice moral victory

No this is after 15 years of service, so this would reflect 1999 graduates.

How do they obtain this information?

How do they know what the graduates are making 15 yrs after graduation? What about self-employed graduates that fudge their actual earnings on their tax returns?

How many graduates participate in the data gathering?

It's pretty much BS. I'm assuming they think the upward error (BSing) will even out across universities, so while all salaries may be inflated if all are equally inflated it's still some semblance of the truth. I'd like to see this broken down by major and city of employment to control for factors like Cost of Living. I'd rather make 80k in Atlanta than 100k in NYC.
