My guess is the deal if done means Rams will show up on future Gator game schedules. A "buyout" of the buyout if you will.

Happy with the hire. Think he is a good fit for Florida. Not going to create a splash but that means nothing to me.

Great get for the gators. He has head coaching experience, coached for Saban and is an offensive coach. Proven winner.

I had always hoped McElwein would end up back at Alabama one day. Really good coach who can handle being the head guy at a major program. It was just a matter of time before someone got him. He's also a great QB developer and knows that he has to have a defense in order to win.

My only hangups with him were that he wasn't a lights out recruiter and a lot of his connections are in the West Coast....but Florida has enough resources to make up for that. It still feels like an odd fit to me for some reason.
