an 80,000 seat stadium?
@AustinKKim: Alden said #Mizzou is putting the new indoor football facility on hold, priority will be the south endzone renovations.
@AustinKKim: Alden said there's urgency to renovate that endzone, which will have football offices and frees up the MATC, where football currently is.
@AustinKKim: Alden told me the decision to focus on south endzone facility (which will have new locker room, weight room) was made about a month ago.
@AustinKKim: Alden said MU didn't have a concrete number of additional seats to the endzone renovations yet. No timeframe yet either.

Mizzou should've had a 100,000 seat stadium two decades ago.
You're smashed between Kansas City and St. Louis in a state of 6 million people.
Unimpressive.

I guess we're too poor to do both. Send money pls.

While kudos for getting a new addition, it's just different to realize that they can't
Do both simultaneously. Especially with the two east titles now. Would have figured a larger commitment from the Alum.

I know Pinkel has been pushing the south endzone expansion. My guess is after all the success they've had the last couple years, they let him pick one or the other.
I've been curious to see if they give Pinkel another salary bump to keep pace with Freeze after he played Florida for a nice bump.

Congrats on the upgrade, now if only a new cheer to replace MIZ - ZOU can be found. Ripping off Buckynuts O-H , I-O cheer still seems sorta B1G.

You named your stadium after a Missouri J-School graduate. Talk about lol.

Seems like this thread is unnecessary
The answer is

Our current indoor is really nice. I never understood replacing that before doing the South EZ.
This is great news. The South EZ will really add presence to our stadium, and a new locker room was desperately needed and should pay dividends in recruiting. I'm guessing there will be as many suites as possible over actual seating. I would say probably 76-78k. When the west side tower is blown up and rebuilt, or seating added on either side that is when we would break 80k I would think.

you can hand TWO SEC EAST Championship banners from your rafters!!
I mean, why not? It's good enough for Ole Miss & they are a CHARTER MEMBER.
Nobody would make fun of you - promise!

Not enough $$$. Not everyone has oil field money donors that will jizz into their collection jar on command.

It's not like Pinkel is Richting the division away.

I think your reward for your SEC East title is a beat down in Atlanta. Maybe your new banner will help stop the bleeding.

I don't understand overbuilding
but Texas A&M and now mizzou do, NFL model of 70,000 seats seems to work better than 20,000 empty seats.
