If you haven't already done so this year, I cannot encourage you enough to spend a couple of hours touring through the College Football Hall of Fame. It's right next to Centennial Park, the CNN Center, Aquarium, and World of Coke (in other words, very walkable location from the Dome and GWCC).

Very affordable tickets and it is a CFB fan's Disney World.

It's close by the stadium but I also expect it to be very crowded gameday, make sure you go plenty of time before kickoff.

There's also the SEC FanFair experience whatever thing in the conference hall right by the stadium, so if you wanna do both you'll need the whole day before hand.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to check it out if I get the chance.

Yup totally worth it. One of the few good things downtown Atlanta worth seeing.

I was disappointed. They need a lot more stuff in there. Maybe the laptop Cam Newton stole or the Bobby Petrino motorcycle.

I'd make time for it if I were you. Very cool experience. Should go hand in hand with attending the SECCG.

Well they are a functioning museum with planned expansions and rotating exhibits. Scandals of college football would certainly be one I'd pay to see.

Was with the first group in on opening day. It will be one of my annual rituals from now on before every season. Great way to learn and celebrate the sport and history. Left that place excited out of my mind for the season. Took my dad the first time, will take my wife the second. It's a pretty easily walkable building with a lot to do. I think some people were confused, though, because the first 3 or 4 levels are all the museum and interactive portions with the top level (which is inside the giant football-shaped object above the entrance) being the actual Hall itself.

We have quite a few inductees. Just not that much to see really.

Apparently this is on some whole other level. Never went to the old one but I heard it was just terrible.
