Real answer. Just look at what Memphis was before he got there. They hardly had any talent (star wise) on that defense. Just one of the worst teams in the entire NCAA. The new HC comes in and just turns it all around with Odom as well. Now, some of this could be to the new conference they are in which is very very weak. But still, the guy can coach. You just don't turn that shite awful defense into what he did without being a good coach.

Missouri fans are high on him as well and some think he is in line to become their next head coach down the road.

why would anyone want to be the DC (other than $$$) for a fast offensive program.

This isn't Aubbie hate, but just a thought. Defenses wear the heck out quickly with a fast pace offense scoring so quickly. Ellis Johnson was and is still considered a good DC imho.
