By over a million annually.
Freeze 4.5 million (as of yesterday)
Richt 3.3 million
Seems odd.

Freeze getting into Sumlin overpaid territory

Yeah for an offensive coach, his offenses have not been impressive.
Bagman game is strong though and that is worth something

That's bananas, and it'll only make their inevitable return to 6-6 territory hurt that much more.

Richt makes exactly what he should compared to the coaches around him

Richt is willing to work for less than most coaches in the conference because it allows him to win 8-9 every year with a pretty easy schedule and not face the pressure of winning more. This is the same reason he stayed at Miami when he knew he wasn't going to start. He simply is not willing to be among the best...he is capable, I think, just doesn't have the heart of a true winner. In that he is the perfect fit for UGA.....where winning it all would be nice if it happens but winning more than not is alright also....I think this is why he has said from day one that he was going to retire from UGA because he doesn't have the heart to make difficult changes.

That's what I think. Richt makes more than enough. As many accelerators as his contract has we should add decelerators like the NFL. As for Freeze? Yeesh, $4.5M?
If Nebraska actually does come and throw cash I'd like to see Georgia engage in a limited bidding war to show they aren't as stingy as we think but if it get's north of $3.5-6M I'd call the bluff.
