It's not too late to cease construction on the new arena. We could just disband the entire basketball budget and let Turner Center all stars make up our teams from now on.

Put that 75 million towards a cause that isn't already lost.

They are hell bent on not getting rid of the fedex center. The north west side looks awful. Glad the expansion is happening, but that is awful.

We've already spent 110 million.

So CL & chase got the measurements wrong. It's 104 feet wide which is gay as shite

Edit: then again, if we are planning on mirroring the NEZ then we would be tearing it down on 4-5 years anyway so why get the biggest and baddest.

We are also getting new lights and sound system

I like the renderings for the most part. I understand the concept of trying to save Starnes and FedEx (for now). I also like the brick design in the newest renderings better than the previous. I hope they try to incorporate a similar facade design around the rest of the stadium at some point.

IMO, the NEZ looks a little awkward from the angle of the renderings because you're looking over the top of Starnes and FedEx. From ground level, I think VHS, Starnes, FedEx, and the Pavilion will look more appealing as the brick theme will "flow" throughout.

The SEZ looks pretty badass with the addition of the suites and video boards. It's the one part of the stadium that will look perfectly symmetrical. I'm also glad to see they are upgrading the lights and the sound system.

I'm pretty excited about where it's headed.

They gotta do something to fix that top corner of the NEZ. Looks so cheap that we aren't doing both sides of the video board.

It just comes down to Starnes and FedEx being so close to the Stadium.

What is even the purpose of the Starnes and Fedex?

Starnes was the old field house. I think it's a weight room now for some of the other teams on campus.

FedEx is fairly new and used for athlete academic support (it's important).

Parents of recruits love the FedEx building because of the academic help it brings to athletes
