No, the whole package is a little more than that because there are some perks and you're talking about a three year deal so you have to multiply everything x 3 and then account for the guaranteed part of the contract.

I just don't see it happening, but lemme say this. I'm not completely sure Spurrier has his heart into making it happen. I think if he was more proactive in the process, from the beginning, then maybe we could have pulled-it-off. It just seems so complicated to me from a staff perspective ... none of the budgetary questions are an issue. It's all about Muschamp's preferences right now and, while we do have the Spurrier relationship in our favor, Boom has a long time connection to Auburn that seems to be playing a major factor right now ... a couple of close connections to Auburn actually.
Again, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and would love to see it happen, but I seriously doubt it's gonna happen and IF, IF it does happen then it will be completely about Spurrier getting serious and making it happen because Tanner is in full support of whatever decision he makes with regard to how far they'll go to land Boom.

I don't know, Apparently Tanner spoke to 247 today, and said that he isn't a fan of the HCIW tag, but that he wouldn't be opposed to it, IF it is what needed. Then, one of the boosters who goes around to the signings posted that (paraphrasing)
" Done, a deal has been reached, some people are going to be happy, some are not." So the speculation is that that it's Muschamp and that he got the HCIW tag. Which would benefit us since SOS, said he'll only be here 2-3 more years and this would offer a continuity plan to recruits.
Could all be bullshite, I wasn't in the room when anything was signed, we'll see what happens.

I sincerely hope they aren't giving anyone an actual HCIW tag because of the recruiting restrictions. But I'm down with a "you'll have a great chance at being the HC after Spurrier...wink-wink" arrangement.

Until it's announced nobody knows anything. This booster goes to a bunch of recruit signings though, so it would be odd for him to just put something so random out there.

It could be the HCIW thing. Could also be another guy completely. Or it could be BS. Regardless that thread on TBS is exploding right now. Sometimes I wish I was a member and this is one of those times.

Turns out Tanner was the holdup and didn't want Boom to have the HCIW title.
No announcement date planned yet.
