The best running backs in the FBS play in the Big Ten. The best quarterbacks are in the Pac-12. So are the best defensive linemen. The ACC skunked you 4-0 this past Saturday. The Big 12 is the only conference with a chance of putting two teams in the playoff.

I hope BAMA wins it all and shuts up all these ignorants.

The ACC skunked the east which has sucked since Tebow left

Eta: no real fan should ever have a conference allegiance and should never ever root for Bama.

The SEC East and West is equivalent to the East and West of the NBA. Its ridiculous how people do not see it.

I will never root for an SEC team other than LSU to win anything. I hate the SEC.

Ugh this post fricking sucks. I hope Jameis passes for 5 TD passes on Alabama, wins by 4 TD's, and gives the worst postgame interview in football history.

LSU only. The rest of the SEC can frick off.

Conferences will receive $6 million for each team selected as one of the four playoff participants. (There won't be additional funds for the teams that advance to the championship game.)

— Each conference will receive $2 million to cover expenses for each participant in a semifinal, and for the championship game

Money=why there is "conference pride"

You need to understand how bad non SEC fans hate the SEC. They are, and I can't blame them, tired of having the SEC shoved down their throats.

So any chink in the armor is going to be ran with. Auburn losing the title, Bama getting smoked by OU, etc. The SEC is down this year, so there's that.

Conference pride was created by fans of losing teams who still wanted to feel like winners.

I will want to punch my inlaws in the fricking mouth when they come over to watch Bama play for yet another Natty and they yell, "Roll Tiiiiidde" like they always do when Bama is playing for their bazillionth natty..

frick that, get of my house. I want to shove my fist down their throat and make them throw up the free beer they drank. Blasphemous whores.

Be a real loser like the rest of us TN fans.

Meh...the conference is a little down, but it'll come back up. What makes the conference good is the fact that you have enormous levels of fan support which translates to good facilities and money for coaches. Top that with being in a rich recruiting ground sandwiched between two of the top 3 recruiting states in the country (Texas and Florida), and you have a recipe for conference success.

In terms of cheering for an SEC team just because they're the SEC, I'm indifferent. If it's a team that I don't have any real dislike for then sure...I'll pick the SEC over the other school. If it's a team that I despise...then frick them...I don't want them to win, no matter how good it looks for the league.
