I don't understand how that's not an accurate statement. From what we've seen this season, there is not a dominant team. Obviously the bowl games need to be watched before this statement really has traction however.

Damn Yankees ruining the conference!

Indiana beat the SEC East champion....at home.

Maybe it's not as top heavy as previous years, but has everyone forgotten how well the SEC did against power 5 OOC teams the 1st month of the season?
Really, this claim gets made every single year. Wishful thinking.

saw this article did not click because its just click bait. Puts flashy yellow journalism heading, and gets anti sec and pro sec viewers.. No way does he actually feel that way... just wants clicks..
and its not that the SEC has gotten worse all of the teams are just relatively equal.. so they beat up on each other ... similar to NFL teams... there are fewer cellar dwellers.. and anyone can win any given saturday

We're victims of our own success and expectations. We're still the best conference, by a clear margin, we just don't have dominating teams this season.
But, nobody else does either, which is why an Alabama team that looked pretty vulnerable a lot this year will likely win the title.

Per Vegas...AR, before the Mizzou game, was a 1.5 pt favorite to beat FSU at a neutral site
We just finished last in the SEC West.
Last, and we were 1.5 pt favorites against the # 1 team in the country at the time.

They shouldn't even be considered the SEC. The east is putrid.

48-46, but your point is still valid.

By the same logic, what is widely considered a very down 5th place in the SEC West LSU team beat what could very well end up being the Big 10 Champion.

Once again Alabama will have to carry this conference, win the national title and restore order for the entire SEC. You're welcome.
