Had all the momentum and a tie game halfway through the second half against #11 Kansas. Then decided to revert to street ball on a couple of possessions and Kansas put them away. Had a double digit lead on Marquette on Sunday but couldn't hold it. Tennessee would be top 20 this week had they not choked it away

I'm sorry, didn't realize it was basketball season.

50-16 and 29 of the last 30 in a sport that matters.

If I had the basketball team the Vols have this year, I would say football is all that matters too!

Can't say I blame you. Kentucky football has always been an oxymoron. At least we have been somewhat competitive in our secondary sport over the years. UK football...well, it might be time to shut down the program.

It's a good past time to fill in the time in September and October. To be honest, by the first or second week in November, most fans have shut it down unless the team happens to be having an exceptional year. Plus, I would rather have a program at the very pinnacle in its primary sport even with a terrible team in the secondary sport rather than UT which has a mediocre football team and a bad basketball program!

I thought the Kansas game was encouraging, the Marquette game was depressing.

It's football season, for the rest of us.

You do realize that the football team pays for all of the other teams to exist, right? The better off the football team is, the more it helps the basketball team.

Yep, Kansas is a lot better than people give them credit for. They have a stud in the post (Alexander) and good guard pay. The way UT stayed with them up until the last 8 minutes was pretty impressive. All in all, after watching UT this weekend and Georgia against Gonzaga, I say UT and UGA will battle neck and neck maybe a little behind FLA. All three could make the tournament however with a strong conference record

TN won't make the NCAA's this year unless it really comes together soon.

I do think we can compete in conference and get an NIT bid.

Go buttchug a handle of everclear.

You own your arena. The city of Lexington owns Rupp. Of course you're going to make more from it.

Because they like stealing my hard earned money and telling me I should feel good about it.

Plus, liberal women are typically hideously fat swamp beasts.

You will never get the basketball only fans to realize this. Basketball pays for itself. They don't realize they would have to fork over some of that cash to the other sports if not for football.

I liked how UT tried to gut out wins. They play hard. Quit being a rantard, there are enough Missouri fans on the board to do this. (see what I did there?) lol
