Some questions if we hire Muschamp:
1. Tell me about his defensive scheme. Will it be easier for players to pick up than Johnson's 4-2-5?
He runs a hybrid 3-4. A lot of 4-3 principles. Adapts to personnel
quote:
2. How will the scheme fit the players we already have on campus and current 2015 recruits?
Need bigger DLs, Carl Lawson would be a OLB/DE.... famously known in this state as the JACK. Still think Mon Adams will be a star like Sharrief Floyd in his system.
quote:
3. Are there current Florida recruits who will follow Muschamp to AU?
Byron Cowart and several other DL would definitely be in play...
quote:
4. What are the chances he coaches in the bowl game and will our D be a hybrid of what they've been playing and Muschamp's or will he install his scheme before?
Might as well get started.

So, unless rules have changed in the past several years, there aren't any limits to bowl preparation practices. Natural barriers exist, however. But we should get a fairly late bowl date which means plenty of practice time to install a defense, if we needed to.
I'm still not assuming Muschamp goes to Auburn, though.

If hired today he would get around 16 practices in.

Alright what's the % of BOOM as DC now?
Posted on 12/1/14 at 9:46 am to AUTiger45
Other fanbases on the internet are so salty with the rumors circulating about Boom and AU early this morning. Would be hilarious to watch if we actually landed him.

50/50..did you not read my thread?

The Legion of Boom rolls nicely off the tongue. This needs to happen.

Someone on Twitter said Boom had a clause in his contract that prohibits him from recruiting UF targets for a year. It must be true if on the internet, but has anyone else heard that?
So basically a non-compete clause...but I highly doubt (unless explicitly stated) that'd be enforceable when Florida is the one terminating the contract and he's taking a demotion. Although I do think florida is one of the most liberal states in enforcing non compete clauses.
But i still think UF firing him would invalidate that if it existed.

quote:It was first reported by a 247 sports reporter last week so it's probably true but you can get around that easily by saying another coach is recruiting the prospect.

I think it is only commits, not potential recruits. See Holland.

That will be my sig if we get Boom and someone who knows hows to do that stuff will change Doom to Boom, change the WWF logo to the AU logo, puts Boom's face on Hawk's body, put Gus's face on Animal's body, and a text bubble on Gus saying "What a ruuush!!"

His contract was voided when he was fired. I am sure any restrictions such as this would only apply if he took another job.

15 is for spring. The only bowl stipulation I've seen is the standard 2 contact practices per week maximum. That is, unless they've changed it in the last 2ish years.
Posted on 12/1/14 at 10:25 am to TheJones
Used to be 15 practices, that was changed to 20 hours per week.
